I have no clue what spam’s purpose is. Does anyone actually follow any of those links? Currently, I’ve been getting some pretty ingenious spam emails. The spam is actually sent as an attachment in order to sidestep any spam detecting software like spam assassin which is what my web hosting company uses. (more…)

In the news, I’m sure many of you have read that GM, Daimler Chrysler, Ford have had a rough time. I love the movie “Office Space.” It is one of the greatest satires of the corporate world. Well if you love that, this might be up your ally. Despair.com is a great site. It pokes fun at those stupid motivational devices used by some corporato-types and self-help tools that often times come across as insincere and unrealistic. These are the ones I thought were hilarious. The ones with asterisks are the funnier ones. Bear in mind that my humor is darker than most.

I have always found it curious when people guide me through the adjustment process as if I had no idea what I’m doing or claim ignorance to spectacle abuse as if I don’t know any better. I normally don’t get offended, but today was an exception. I had, what I would describe as, a know-it-all. The glasses submitted to me for adjustment were obviously abused, but I was queried inquisitorially as to the reason “they were falling apart.” This gets me a little bit angry and I usually get very direct and let the patient know that the spectacles were in fact abused which then (more…)
