…a great way to stay on top of the dynamic field of Opticianry and make some friends in the process.
Tuesday, March 14th I got engaged to my now fiance. It’s a pretty funny story actually. I was working that day and she happened to call me to see how I was doing. My intention that day was to leave early from work and drive up to her (She’s living in Jenkintown, PA) and propose. As soon as I left work, I got my roses and ring and headed up to see her. I had told her that I needed her to be at her apartment around 9:30-ish because I had gotten emails about some visual science questions through my website. So, it’s about 9:30, I’m at the apartment building and the correct floor, I call her up and go to what I think is her door. I knock and some stranger opens the door. I ask what apartment number she is and lets me know the right number and I tell the person in front of me that I have the wrong door. The person laughed and I made my way to my now fiance’s door. I knock, and apparently it was really loud because my fiance mentions that someone just banged at the door and tells me to hold on. She calls to her roomate to see if she was expecting someone and the room-mate opens the door and I ask for Robin. The door was open just a crack (the length of the chain from the inside) and I see my fiance’s head just peek out underneath behind and underneath her room-mate’s arm. She mentions to her [room-mate] that it’s me and has a confused look on her face as she looks at the phone and at me. I get on my knee and I ask her to marry me. She then kneels as well and says yes. She was very surprised and it was really great that she had called my work because she couldn’t have even guess that I would have been there at the time that I did. All-in-all a very happy day for me. I truly don’t know where I’d be without her

Felicidades!.

See you soon.
