…a great way to stay on top of the dynamic field of Opticianry and make some friends in the process.
I have no clue what spam’s purpose is. Does anyone actually follow any of those links? Currently, I’ve been getting some pretty ingenious spam emails. The spam is actually sent as an attachment in order to sidestep any spam detecting software like spam assassin which is what my web hosting company uses. While I may accidentally open an email that looks like its for me, it takes me about 0.0177 seconds to figure out it’s spam.
Although not spam exactly, I don’t know why some companies choose to flood one’s email box. I subscribe to magazine’s like 20/20 etc… from the company Jobson. I get ridiculous amounts of “updates” a day. Now granted the industry changes, but a weekly digest of industry news would be a lot better.
I guess I don’t have much of a point with this entry except that I hate spam and do not like subscribing to “up-to-the-minute” news from industry magazines.

I wonder the same things about pop-ups, junk mail, and telemarketing. Has anyone EVER gotten any business that way?
