There isn't much left out there for what we do now, it's all sales and we can't control the work anymore. The quality of eyeglasses has taken a giant step backwards and being dependent on large corporations who only want you dance faster after you've danced for them is killing the field. It's not even recognizable anymore. It needs a new direction. I believe that taking the refraction courses will open up new vistas. Ophthalmic Tech is the direction I'm looking in now, because between internet glasses and and cheap corporate eyewear we've been squeezed out of the eyeglass industry.
