Yay

I passed the ABO Advanced Certification exam and am on my way to getting the ABOM status. I took the test at the Vision Expo on April 13th.  I just got my letter saying I passed. It’s not a particularly difficult test, but a necessary step in gaining ABOM status. I plan to take the NCLE- AC next and let all of you know how it is.

    Hi Al

I was one of the other 2 people taking the test with you. (I saw the name on the sign in sheet - Hipaa violation - ooops ) I was to the left and I asked the other guy to stop tapping his feet as it was breaking my concentration.
    I passed as well. Congratulations!

    BTW
    great site Al
I love that molecular expressions page
Do you know what topic on which you’ll be doing the paper? I’m thinking about polarization
    or anti-reflective lenses.

  7. Alvaro Cordova Says:

I’m thinking more along the lines of strabismus. Have you already enrolled? I sent in the application last week, so I should be hearing from them soon.

  8. Rob Says:

I haven’t enrolled. I was concerned with passing the AC. I think I need to pin down exactly what I’ll be writing about before I sign up.

  9. Kimberly Says:

Congratulations on passing the ABO. I am a first year student and look forward to taking it in two years. I am attending a community college. I appreciate your sharing your thoughts about its difficulty. Best of luck with passing the masters.
