…a great way to stay on top of the dynamic field of Opticianry and make some friends in the process.
I am a big tea and coffee drinker. Lately though, I’ve been drinking an inordinate amount of tea. One day, my fiance and I were walking through the Bridgewater Commons mall and entered a store called Teavana. The store was filled with wide variety of teas from all over the world. They also hove some pretty interesting looking teapots. In Asia tea holds a very sacred role. I am reminded of my best friend’s wedding. My best friend, Elaine, who is Chinese, got married a little over a year ago. They had a traditional “American” ceremony, but also had a tea ceremony performed right before the reception. I thought that was the coolest thing.
I’m always interested in knowing some of the health benefits of tea. Whether or not all of the health benefits are true, there may be some drawbacks too. For example, decaffeinated black tea in particular contains quite a bit of fluoride which is a toxin in excess. White tea on the other hand contains very little fluoride. I didn’t even know white tea existed. I had always assumed green tea is the healthiest tea, but believe it or not white tea may be just as healthy or even healthier than green tea.
